The Slide & Splash water park, in Lagoa, marks 40 years of activity and is preparing to start the new season on April 1, 2026. The park, which opened its doors on June 10, 1986 at the initiative of four Portuguese businessmen, claims to have evolved into one of the pillars of Algarve tourism, maintaining its family identity and focus on innovation.
According to the administration, stability in leadership has been decisive for this longevity. Two years after opening, the company was reduced to two partners, who remain in Administration, now accompanied by the second generation in Management, reinforcing the family character of the project.
Sustainability and technological innovation
In the year in which it celebrates four decades, the park reinforces its commitment to environmental sustainability. As part of the Algarve 2030 program, a filtration system was implemented that will reduce water consumption when washing pools by 80%. It is also planned to install 12 tanks, with a capacity of 1,000 m³ each, intended for storing rainwater and water treated by osmosis.
The visitor experience also enters a new phase with the introduction of a photography and video service based on facial recognition technology, which will allow automated access to images captured throughout the day.
Diversified offer and future projection
From the adrenaline rush of Big Wave, Black Hole and Big Fall to the Tropical Paradise children’s area, the park remains a destination “for all Children”, offering more than 25 water slides. The offer also includes exclusive Cabana areas, a massage center, fish spa and seven food outlets.
The company also claims to be one of the main employers in the municipality of Lagoa and guarantees to face the future with ambition, pointing to new expansion projects. “We celebrate 40 years of achievements with a focus on excellence and the usual commitment: to provide the best dose of adrenaline and happiness to those who visit us”.
Tariff 2026
The tariff is divided between Low Season (01/04 to 30/06 and 01/09 to 31/10) and High Season (01/07 to 31/08):
- Normal (11 to 64 years old): 32€ (Low Season) | €35 (High Season)
- Junior (height greater than 1.00 m up to 10 years old): 24€ | 27€
- Senior (over 65 years old): 24€ | 27€
- Infant (height less than 1.00 m): free

The park opens at 10:00. Closing varies depending on the period:
- 01/04 a 31/05: 17:00
- 01/06 a 30/06: 17:30
- 01/07 a 11/09: 18:00
- 12/09 a 31/10: 17:00
