About 30 alerts extreme warnings for rain, risk of flooding and landslides were sent to the most affected municipalities in the state of Rio. Angra dos Reis, Paraty, Mangaratiba and Rio das Ostras received the notices on Thursday afternoon (26).
The Rio Fire Department was called to more than 80 related occurrences to the rains since Thursday (26), with 33 just in the early hours of this Friday (27) – most of floods, floods and landslides. There are no records of serious victims.

The corporation reported that it remains on high alert, with mobilized teams, operational vehicles, ambulances, vessels, drones and aircraft.
During this period, 65 siren stations were activated to warn of rain and 30 to mobilize communities, so far, in Angra dos Reis, Mangaratiba, Bom Jardim, Barra Mansa, Magé, Barra do Piraí, Teresópolis and Duque de Caxias.
The National Center for Natural Disaster Monitoring and Alerts (Cemaden-RJ) reports that, at this moment, the hydrological risk is very high in Macaé, Rio das Ostras, Paraty, Mangaratiba, Angra dos Reis, Santo Antônio de Pádua and Bom Jardim, and high in Barra Mansa, Cachoeiras de Macacu, Silva Jardim, Cabo Frio, Armação dos Búzios, Porciúncula, Sumidouro, Sapucaia, São Sebastião do Alto and Campos dos Goytacazes.
The geological risk is also very high in Angra dos Reis and Mangaratiba and high in Paraty, Nova Friburgo, Bom Jardim, Resende, Três Rios, Comendador Levy Gasparian and Macaé.
According to the Secretary of State for for the next few hours, moderate rains are still expected in the Baixada Fluminense, Baixada Litorânea, Serrana and Metropolitana regions. For other regions, light to moderate rain is forecast.
The Rio Alert System reported that this Friday, the weather in the capital of Rio de Janeiro remains unstable due to the influence of a low pressure system on the state’s coast. The forecast is for cloudy to overcast skies throughout the day, with moderate rain in some points this early morning and occasionally significant accumulations in the last 12h and 24h.
From the afternoonrain will vary between light and moderate, with moderate winds, occasionally strong. Temperatures will be declining, with a predicted maximum of 29°C.
