The champions showed a poor, but all the more efficient performance for a long time: Hugo Ekitike (5th), Virgil van Dijk (24th) and Alexis Mac Allister (43rd) each scored from corners to give the team a 3-0 half-time lead. Cody Gakpo (70th) and an own goal from Axel Disasi (82nd) thwarted West Ham’s comeback attempts.
