Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busajdi met with US Vice President JD Vance on Friday and informed him about the ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran. Oman’s foreign minister says ‘peace is within reach’writes TASR.
“Today I met with Vice President JD Vance and shared details of the ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran and the progress made so far. I am grateful for their engagement and look forward to further progress in the coming days. Peace is within reach.” wrote al-Búsajdi on the X social network.
US President Donald Trump said on Friday that he is not happy with the way Iran is negotiating. “I’m not happy that they’re not willing to give us what we need to have. I’m not happy about it. We’ll see what happens. We’ll talk later.” Trump declared and reiterated that he wants to make a deal with Iran, but “they can’t have nuclear weapons”.
Another round of mediated bilateral negotiations between the United States and Iran took place in Geneva, Switzerland, on Thursday. Although mediator Oman says “good progress” has been made on themseveral foreign media write about the opposite.
