Garmisch-Partenkirchen – The Tyrolean Romed Baumann is ending his career as a professional skier. The 40-year-old wanted to take part in the Super-G in Garmisch-Partenkirchen for the last time on Sunday, but nothing came of it because the race was canceled due to fog. Baumann, who last competed for Germany, was about to retire; in the last of his almost 22 seasons he no longer made it into the top 15 or even made it to the Olympics in Italy.
