Nine people died this Sunday (1st), in central Israel, when a building collapsed following a “direct hit” from an Iranian missile, Israeli emergency services reported.
In the Bet Shemesh sector, rescuers “confirmed the death of nine people”, announced, in a statement, the Magen David Adom organization, the Israeli equivalent of the Red Cross.
The organization reported having evacuated 28 injured people, two of whom were in serious condition.
A previous report recorded eight deaths.
The missile caused “significant damage (…) and the building where there were civilians collapsed”, security forces added.
Alireza Arafi as interim leader
The government of Iran appointed Ayatollah Alireza Arafi as interim leader this Sunday (1st).. He will be at the head of the country after the assassination of the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, this Saturday (28).
“The State Interest Discernment Council has elected Ayatollah Alireza Arafi as a member of the interim leadership council,” council spokesman Mohsen Dehnavi said in a social media post.
The interim council will also include the country’s president and the head of the judiciary. They remained at the head of the government until a new supreme leader was chosen. that the fall of the regime is the goal of the United States.
“The political objective defined by President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu is regime change in Iran,” said retired colonel Paulo Filho. “I don’t believe that everyone will immediately surrender and there will be a smooth regime change,” he said. The military highlighted the unprecedented Iranian counterattack, which hit “practically all Gulf states”.
