One of the most common questions that non-chess players ask me is: Do computers actually play chess perfectly? The answer is of course no – although a yes could now also be argued, because: What Stockfish, Leela and Co. lack to perfection no longer takes place in an area that would be somehow comprehensible to people and would therefore make a (practical) difference for us.
