Three American planes over Kuwait were mistakenly hit by the country’s air defenses during Iranian attacks. All six crew members survived without serious injuries.
The three US military planes that crashed on the territory of Kuwait on Monday were mistakenly shot down by Kuwaiti air defenses, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced. All six crew members ejected safely and are in a stable condition, writes TASR.
“During active combat that included strikes by Iranian aircraft, ballistic missiles and drones, US Air Force fighter jets were mistakenly shot down by Kuwaiti air defenses,” CENTCOM said in a statement, adding that all six crew members ejected safely and are in stable condition.

“Kuwait has acknowledged this incident and we are grateful for the efforts of the Kuwait Defense Forces and their support in this ongoing operation. The cause of the incident is under investigation. Further information will be released as soon as it becomes available,” the command added.
Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense earlier announced that “several” US military aircraft had crashed in Kuwait on Monday morning. According to the statement, the pilots survived without injury and were taken to the hospital for examinations.
