Israel’s prime minister said today that it would continue to “severely bomb it,” adding that pro-Iranian Hezbollah would be targeted with “even greater force” in Lebanon.
“We continue to . Our pilots fly over Iran and Tehran, as well as Lebanon. Hezbollah made a grave mistake when it attacked us. We have already responded with force and we will respond with even greater force,” Netanyahu said during a visit to Palmachim Air Base in central Israel.
Massive Israeli strikes
Israel’s military said it struck ballistic missile production facilities across Iran today, the fourth day of its war against the Islamic Republic.
“During the attacks carried out across Iran, the Israeli military targeted industrial facilities used by the Iranian regime to produce weapons, particularly ballistic missiles,” the statement said.
It also said it targeted “dozens of targets linked to the ballistic missile network, including launchers and storage sites” in Isfahan, central Iran.
Iranian media reported earlier today that Israeli and US airstrikes targeted the building housing Iran’s Council of Wise Men, south of Tehran. It is an institution tasked with electing a new supreme leader to succeed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was assassinated on the first day of the war, Iranian media reported.
Iranian state news agencies also reported that Tehran’s Mehrabad International Airport was also bombed. At the same time, the Israeli army issued evacuation warnings to residents of areas of the Iranian capital in view of imminent raids.
