Do you have a sweet tooth? You can “bake” this 3-ingredient fitness dessert in the microwave in 2 minutes

A sweet tooth usually doesn’t come when we have time to bake. It comes unexpectedly, often between meals or in the evening, when we no longer feel like doing anything complicated. That’s when a simple cup dessert made of banana, flakes and eggs, which is ready in a few minutes, comes in handy.

We would most often have a sweet cake when we don’t feel like baking, weighing ingredients or turning on the oven. And that’s when it makes sense to know a few simple recipes that work quickly, without unnecessary chemicals and with a minimum of ingredients. Banana Mugcake, belongs exactly in this category. It’s a dessert that was born out of necessity rather than a desire for perfection, but people loved it all the more.

The basic magic lies in the fact that the banana, the filling flakes and the egg hold the whole dessert together. The result is not a cake in the confectionary sense, but a warm, pliable cup cake that works as a quick breakfast, snack and after-lunch dessert.

Why mugcake made of flakes and banana

Unlike classic sweets, this dessert does not contain any added sugar or flour. The sweetness comes only from a ripe banana, and the structure is created by oatmeal, which will give the body energy for a longer period of time. That is why mugcake often appears in the menus of people who try to eat sensibly, but do not want to completely deny themselves sweets.

“I like oatmeal in the kitchen mainly because it fills you up for a long time and doesn’t weigh you down. When you combine it with fruit or an egg, you get a meal that gives the body energy but doesn’t cause blood sugar fluctuations. That’s why you won’t be hungry again in an hour,” says chef David Šlapák.

The speed of preparation is also a big advantage. From the moment you pick up a banana to the moment you hold the finished dessert in your hand, barely three minutes pass. No kitchen mess, no blender, no oven.

Procedure:

Mash the banana directly in the mug with a fork to a smooth puree. Add the eggs and mix well to combine. Finally, mix in the oatmeal to create a thicker but still runny batter. Tap the mug lightly on the worktop a few times to settle the mixture. Place in the microwave and heat for approximately two minutes on full power. After pulling out, let the mugcake cool for a short time, it will remain soft inside and firm on the surface.

How to customize your mugcake to taste

The basic version is simple, but you can easily customize it. Just add a pinch of cinnamon, a teaspoon of cocoa or a few pieces of dark chocolate. If you want a richer dessert, add a teaspoon of yogurt or peanut butter. And if you prefer a finer texture, you can lightly mix the flakes beforehand.
