The Court of Justice authorized the mayor’s management () to inaugurate the building at the request of the Public Ministry.
The decision, published on Wednesday night (4), was handed down by judge Tamara Priscila Tocci, from the 2nd Public Finance Court, and celebrated at city hall.
Tocci dismissed the Public Prosecutor’s Office’s requests as unfounded, which argued that in the 1980s there was still a risk of soil contamination.
The city hall, in turn, maintains that it met all the requirements of Cetesb, the body responsible for the environmental license.
