The basic food basket rose again in March in Rio Branco, registering an increase of 10.79% compared to February. The average value went from R$583.79 to R$646.80, according to a survey by the Federation of Commerce of Goods, Services and Tourism of Acre (), released this Wednesday (4).
The main responsible for the increase was beef, which had a significant increase of 41.48% in the monthly comparison. The item alone adds up to R$255.95 of the total basket, representing 39.5% of the final cost. The average price per kilo was R$51.19, varying between R$48.98 and R$53.40, demonstrating a significant difference between establishments.

In the opposite direction, rice dropped 33.10%, being the item that contributed most to softening the impact of the rise in meat prices. The average price was R$3.76, varying between R$3.17 and R$4.35. Pasta also registered a strong reduction of 36.89%, while potatoes fell 18.86%.
Among the other products with the greatest financial impact on the basket are:
- Coffee powder: R$ 66.84
- Milk: R$ 58.40 (up 14.06% in the month)
- Banana: R$ 39,87
- French bread: R$ 35.97
The survey also points out that the difference between the lowest total cost (R$624.53) and the highest (R$678.33) reaches R$53.80, reinforcing the importance of price research.
Despite the increase recorded in March, the accumulated result between December 2025 and March 2026 still indicates a drop of 3.72% in the total value of the basic food basket. In the quarter, products such as rice (-31.13%), flour (-22.49%), oil (-23.61%) and pasta (-22.73%) showed a decline of more than 20%.
