A served five temporary arrest warrants this Thursday (5) in an operation that investigates suspicions of improper access to the minister’s data, from the (Supreme Federal Court).
The operation, called Dataleaks, targets those responsible for a platform that contains an unofficial database, with personal information from members of the Supreme Court, and is supplied through improper access to government systems.
The determination for the arrests was made by Moraes himself, who is the rapporteur of the investigations into information leaks from ministers and their families. It adds to other investigations that have already been criticized for having the .
According to the PF, the objective of the operation is “to dismantle a criminal organization specialized in obtaining, adulterating, commercializing and illicitly disseminating personal and sensitive data from government and private databases.”
In addition to the five arrests, four search and seizure warrants were executed. The action takes place in the states of São Paulo, Tocantins and Alagoas.
Suspicions of criminal organization crimes, computer device hacking, qualified theft through fraud, data corruption and money laundering are being investigated.
