Hezbollah announces a series of attacks against Israeli army targets
The Lebanese Shiite militia Hezbollah said this Friday that it had attacked a convoy of Israeli military vehicles advancing towards the city of Khiyam, in southern Lebanon. It does not specify whether the attack has caused damage or casualties among the Israeli military, nor has the Israeli army reported the incident at the moment.
Previously, it had reported a series of attacks against Israeli positions, including the Haifa naval base, in the north of the country, and a barracks in the Syrian Golan Heights, occupied by Israel since 1967. In a note broadcast through the Al Manar television network, linked to the group, it has defended its missile attacks “in response to Israeli aggression that affected dozens of Lebanese cities and towns, including the southern suburbs of Beirut.”
Hezbollah has also announced that it has carried out attacks against a military barracks in the Syrian Golan Heights occupied by Israel, as well as Israeli Army forces in southern Lebanon, in the border towns of Wadi al Asafir, Kfar Kila, Merkaba, Ruwaisat al Alam. Likewise, the Israeli municipalities of Metula, Manara and the Yiftah barracks have been targets of Hezbollah.
Shortly before, the Shiite group issued an evacuation order in Hebrew addressed to residents of all towns in northern Israel located less than five kilometers from the border with Lebanon.
In his statement, he assured that the Israeli army’s bombings against the sovereignty of Lebanon, which have caused the destruction of its infrastructure and the displacement of tens of thousands of Lebanese, “will not go unanswered.”
