The Ministry of the Interior of Cuba (Minint) announced this Thursday that one of the six detained by the speedboat operation from the US last week has died from his injuries
In the last paragraph of a statement about the process of investigating the facts, the Minint indicated that Roberto Álvarez Ávila, one of those injured in the event – and detained since then – “died on March 4 as a result of the injuries received.”
On February 25, Cuban border guard troops intercepted a boat quickly from The US in Cuban territorial waters with 10 people on board and a large amount of weapons, according to the Cuban Government’s account.
