French President Emmanuel Macron announced this Thursday a plan to end Hezbollah’s military activities, while promising to send military aid to the Lebanese Army. In a message on his social networks, he assured that he has maintained contacts at the highest level, including the leaders of the United States, Israel and Lebanon, to “establish a plan to end the military operations that Hezbollah and Israel are currently carrying out on both sides of the border.” That plan has been one of the central issues of the recent contacts he has had with the president of the United States, Donald Trump, the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and the Lebanese president, Nawaf Salam.
