Vorcado says he is being humiliated and criticizes the Central Bank – 03/05/2026 – Panel

Cell phone conversations show that he had been irritated with the bank for some time and tried to convince allies inside and outside the bank to open deals.

In a note that suggests a conversation with former BC director Paulo Sérgio Neves de Souza, Vorcaro states that he has been “rejected and humiliated” for two years.

In an excerpt, it says that Deorf, the Central Bank’s Financial System Organization Department, “was contaminated”.

The banker does not make it clear, in the conversation, what exactly he wants from the Central Bank. But it requires the unlocking of his requests that still required adjustments required by the monetary authority.

In another part of the conversation, Daniel Vorcaro says that he has a healthy bank and makes an appeal: “It doesn’t make sense what’s going on, let us start the work.”

Vorcaro concludes the text by saying with yet another criticism of the Central Bank’s actions: “The power to monitor, adjust and punish remains with Bacen, but not approving the control or penalizing the institution now is unfair and immoral.”
