Court orders goalkeeper Bruno arrested for failing to comply with probation

Rio’s Criminal Execution Court issued a warrant after player traveled to Acre without judicial authorization

The Criminal Executions Court of Rio de Janeiro issued an arrest warrant, last Thursday (5th March 2026), against the goalkeeper for failing to comply with his probation.

According to the decision, he was absent from the State of Rio de Janeiro without authorization. Therefore, he lost the benefit. The goalkeeper must return to prison, in a semi-open regime.

Bruno traveled to Acre on February 15th. The player even defended Vasco, from Acre, in a match for the Copa do Brasil, on the 19th. The team was eliminated on penalties.

“With regard to non-compliance with the conditions of the Conditional Release, in fact, the convict’s conduct must be seen as negligence in complying with the benefit granted to him”, said judge Rafael Estrela Nóbrega in the decision.

According to him, Bruno could not claim ignorance of the conditions of the benefit.
