Veronika Aigner is one of the big stars of the Paralympic Games. These are not advance praises, no, that can already be said after her first of five Alpine races in Cortina d’Ampezzo. The 23-year-old from Lower Austria strings one media appointment after the next, patiently answers all questions, is never at a loss for a quick comment – and on Saturday she also won gold in the downhill in the visual impairment category.
