The interim president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, said this Saturday that ‘diplomatic dialogue’ with the United States was the way to resolve differences between the two countries, after both governments agreed to establish diplomatic and consular relations.
‘We reiterate our willingness to build long-term relationships based on mutual respect, equality and international law, with the aim of promoting a work agenda that strengthens cooperation for the benefit of both countries,’ Rodriguez said in a post on X addressed to US President Donald Trump.
Earlier, when talking about Latin American countries, Trump stated that Venezuela’s interim president, Delcy Rodríguez, is doing “a great job,” just because she is cooperating with the US.

“If she wasn’t working with us, I wouldn’t say she was doing a good job,” he said.
