Iran announced, this Monday (9), a demonstration across the country to swear an oath of loyalty to the new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei.
Iran’s Islamic Propagation Coordination Council called on people to gather “simultaneously across the country” at 3pm local time (6:30am Brasília time) and “swear their bay’at”, or oath of allegiance, according to the Islamic Republic’s state news agency (IRNA).
In the capital, Tehran, the main gathering will take place in Enqelab Square, in the city center, the IRNA news agency reported.

In response, Trump threatened Iran against retaliatory strikes, saying “they better not do this, because if they do, we will hit them with force never seen before.”
The day before, Trump had already stated that the attacks against Iran will continue “uninterrupted throughout the week or for as long as necessary to achieve our objective of PEACE THROUGHOUT THE MIDDLE EAST AND, IN FACT, THE WORLD!”
