The presented this Monday (9) a request for impeachment against the minister, after the publication of exchanges of messages attributed to the former owner of the and the minister of the (Supreme Federal Court).
The presentation of the request was announced during a press conference at Federal and was attended by the governor of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema, senator Eduardo Girão (Novo-CE), the party president, Eduardo Ribeiro, and deputies such as Marcel Van Hattem (RS), Adriana Ventura (SP) and Luiz Lima (RJ).
“If we have already had two presidents of the republic removed, who were impeached, in my opinion it is past time due to the events we have seen in the last few days of this happening to a STF minister”, defended Zema. The governor considers that STF ministers have acted as if they were “above the law”.
The Novo party also announced the presentation of a representation to the Senate Ethics Council asking for the “immediate removal” of Senate President Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP) for omission and abuse of power. Furthermore, they said they will send a criminal report to the PGR (Attorney General’s Office) against Moraes.
“The Senate, only it, can fulfill this duty before the Constitution. It did not do so and now we are seeing some ministers feeling completely untouchable,” said Girão. The senator also defended the immediate opening of the CPI or CPMI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) of Banco Master and the extension of the CPMI of the INSS.
“Whoever does not stand up against these absurdities is either corrupt or complicit or complicit,” said Ventura.
According to an investigation by the newspaper O Globo confirmed by Folha, Vorcaro exchanged messages with Alexandre de Moraes on November 17th. In the conversations revealed, the then banker narrates negotiations to try to save the Master.
