The president of , Leila Pereira, and two others invited by CPMI to give testimony about payroll loans decided not to attend. The hearings were scheduled for this Monday (9). As they were not summoned, they had the option to refuse.
Leila justified it by saying that she has to attend the awards ceremony for her team, which was champion of São Paulo this Sunday (8). She was called due to the role of Crefisa, her family’s company, in the loans.
Rodrigo Ortiz D’Avila, president of Dataprev, a Social Security data processing company, and Artur Ildefonso Azevedo, CEO of Banco C6 Consignado, also declined the invitation.
In a statement sent to CPMI, D’Avila justified his inability to attend by citing medical commitments and an international trip. He said he will be able to go on another date, starting March 21st.
