Agribusiness registers 1,990 requests for judicial recovery

Serasa Experian records the highest volume since 2021, with growth of 56.4% compared to the previous year in the sector

Serasa Experian counted 1,990 requests for judicial recovery in Brazilian agribusiness in 2025. The volume represents the highest level ever recorded since the beginning of the historical series in 2021. The data covers individual rural producers, legal entity rural producers and companies linked to the sector.

The number of requests grew 56.4% compared to 2024, when 1,272 requests were registered. In 2023, the sector had recorded 534 orders. Such growth highlights the increasing pressure on the production chain in the last 3 years.

Mato Grosso registered 332 requests for judicial recovery in agribusiness in 2025. Goiás appears in 2nd position, with 296 requests. Paraná recorded 248 requests. Mato Grosso do Sul had 216 requests. Minas Gerais completed the ranking with a total of 196 requests.

Individual rural producers presented the highest absolute number of requests among the 3 profiles analyzed: 853 requests in 2025. In the previous year, this segment had registered 566 requests. Expansion reached 50.7% in the period.

Legal entity rural producers made 753 requests for judicial recovery in 2025. In 2024, this group had submitted 409 requests. The variation between the 2 years reached 84.1%. The percentage represents the highest growth among the 3 segments monitored.

Companies with activities related to agribusiness filed 384 requests for judicial recovery during 2025. In 2024, this segment had recorded 297 requests. The increase recorded was 29.3% when comparing the 2 periods.
