The Lula government is not giving up on increasing the minimum fee per delivery to R$10, one of the central points of the project to regulate work through applications, and is considering presenting an amendment in this regard when the matter comes to a vote in the Chamber of Deputies.
Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), who brought together the president of the special commission that discusses the topic, Joaquim Passarinho (PL-PA), For the government, ministers Guilherme Boulos (General Secretariat), Gleisi Hoffmann (Institutional Relations) and Luiz Marinho (Labour) participated.
The objective was to reach a consensus for the final text, but some important items remained open.
“The government does not give up the minimum fee of R$10 per delivery, R$2.50 per additional km and the right of workers to appeal to the Labor Court to prevent abuse of the platforms,” said Boulos.
There were, however, advances on other topics, such as the 30% limit on the platforms’ intermediation fee.
The objective of the government and Motta is to vote on the project in the Chamber by April.
