This year’s dance show Let’s Dance on Markíza TV is completely different from what viewers have been used to. The eleventh series is subtitled Gladiators and the Best of the Best, which already suggests that the most outstanding talents are competing here. Up to seven winners of previous series and three finalists perform on the dance floor. So the competition is huge.
He shows his talent in Let’s Dance Ján Koleník (winner of series 7 in 2022), Nela Pocisková (winner of the 4th series in 2010), Jakub Jablonsky (winner of series 9 in 2024), Juraj Mokrý (winner of the 3rd series in 2009), Christian Baran (winner of series 10 in 2025), Vladimir Kobielsky (winner of the 6th series in 2017), Gabriela Marcinková (second place in the 8th series in 2023), Petra Polnišová (second place in the 3rd series in 2009), Zuzana Porubjakova (second place in the 10th series in 2025) a Janka Hospodárová (winner of the 5th series in 2011).
Gabriela Marcinková and Jaroslav Ihring, Kristián Baran and Eliška Betáková, Petra Polnišová and Vilém Šír and Vladimír Kobielsky and Natália Horváthová share the 6th place after the first round with 24 points. In first place is Zuzana Porubjaková with Matyáš Adamac, who received an incredible 35 points. This may have surprised some viewers. Close behind them is Ján Koleník and Dominika Rošková, who scored one less point.
Koleník is seen as the biggest star of this dance show ever. So the other contestants joked that the likable actor should have his own category. Even before the pair learned the score from the judges, moderator Janka Kovalčiková turned to Koleník asking if he thinks he will find competition this year.
The actor nodded to her almost immediately and even revealed that he already has a tip as to who it could be. However, he did not want to name. Despite this, they keep their fingers crossed for each other. “I still support and appreciate,” Koleník said honestly.
It was this support that Kovalčiková wanted to point out and dug into the functioning of Slovakia. “And that’s really very nice of you. I have to tell you that since I came here, to the Incheba Expo Arena, I’ve been in shock at how beautifully you stick together. If only our whole Slovakia could hold together like that. That’s just my inner wish.” she announced live.
