O treats the renewal of the attacker’s contract as a priority after resolving the debt with the Club Atlético Talleres for the signing of the midfielder Rodrigo Garro. The São Paulo club owes around R$40 million to the Dutch player, relating to gloves and performance bonuses, according to the Globo Esporte. The athlete’s current contract ends on July 20, 2026.

The black and white board is looking for a company in the market that agrees to contribute to the payment of the attacker’s salaries. Currently, the Lucky Sports bears part of Memphis’ salaries, but the sponsorship contract no longer includes specific payment for media support.

Before discussing the extension of the bond, Corinthians needs to negotiate with the player a method of paying the outstanding amounts. The club is facing financial difficulties that prevent immediate debt repayment.

For Corinthians, Memphis has 19 goals and 15 assists in 74 matches. The striker won 3 titles with the black and white shirt: the Paulista Football Championship 2025 ea Brazil Cup 2025in addition to the Brazilian Super Cup 2026.
