The São Paulo teams finished 2-2 in the opening game of the fifth round of the Brasileirão
Under the eyes of Carlo Ancelotti, coach of the Brazilian national team, but without the presence of Neymar (spared), the Santos sought a 2-2 draw in the final minutes against Mirassolcom two goals from Gabriel Barbosaon Tuesday (10), in the interior of São Paulo, in opening of the fifth round of the Brazilian Championship. Without having made any shots at the goal defended by experienced goalkeeper Walter in the first half, Santos tried to be more aggressive at the beginning of the final stage, but it was Mirassol who were in danger, with Nathan Fogaça, after Reinaldo’s cross from the left. Negueba was another to test Brazão’s agility.
At 12 minutes, Mirassol made a similar move to the one that resulted in the first goal. This time, Negueba passed it to Shaylon, who rolled it to Alesson, but the ball hit the net from the outside. Mirassol was all in control, as they pressed and Brazão tried hard to avoid Shaylon’s goal.
Mirassol’s superiority provided the host team’s second goal, in the 26th minute, in a beautiful cross from Negueba.
When it seemed that Santos was defeated, everything changed after 35 minutesor talent of Gabriel Barbosa took advantage of a mistake from Mirassol’s defense to score Santos’ first goal.
Santos’ reaction didn’t stop there. At 43, Raphael Claus went to the video referee to confirm penalty by Neto Moura on Gabriel Barbosa. The striker hit to tie the game.
The dispute became open in the final minutes, with both teams having chances to score the winning goal, but the final result was a 2-2 draw.
