One person lost his life in the fire of a farm building and vehicles in the village of Močenok in the Šaľa district. The fire on Hájska street was reported on Wednesday (March 11) at 9:30 p.m., the Regional Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Service in Nitra informed.

- An outbuilding behind the family house and two cars were on fire.
- The fire also affected a caravan on a neighboring property with a person present.

Members of the fire brigade intervened on the spot in self-contained breathing apparatus. The fire was extinguished with two C jets and one high-pressure jet. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. An investigator into the causes of fires was also called to the event.
The owner of the farm building suffered direct material damage as a result of the fire, preliminarily estimated at 1000 euros. The owner of the caravan and passenger motor vehicle suffered direct material damage, preliminarily estimated at 4,000 euros.
