Acre is at great risk in the coming days, due to the conflict between the USA and Iran. Businesswoman Sandra Pinheiro, co-owner of Auto Posto Tropical, in Rio Branco, told the ContilNet report, this Wednesday (11), that she is having great difficulty receiving petroleum products at her establishment.
Last week, the Petroleum Derivatives Retail Trade Union of the State of Acre (Sindepac) sent a public note to the press addressing the situation and already taking for granted the abrupt increase in fuel prices in Acre, due to the situation in the Middle East. Furthermore, the entity highlighted the risk of shortages.
Sandra stated that she is facing difficulties filling the truck that brings fuel from Porto Velho to her station, in Rio Branco.
“We are having great difficulty loading our trailer at the Porto Velho base. Petrobrás is running out of supplies due to the barrels of oil that are not arriving in Brazil”, he pointed out.
“Fuel prices will rise drastically”, warned the businesswoman.
Pinheiro also left a warning for Acre drivers. “Whoever can drive their car with a full tank of gas will be better off. We’re not sure what’s to come, but from the way things are going, behind the scenes at the distributors, it’s going to get very complicated,” he concluded.
