AI “sister” to the chatbot allows users to generate short videos with realistic elements and even use the facial appearance of real people. It could be a way to win back those who didn’t like the “hug” of the Pentagon.

Artificial intelligence (AI) for video generation may soon be integrated into ChatGPTaccording to .

Currently, the short video tool can only be accessed on its own website or application, without a direct connection to the OpenAI assistant, creator of both Sora and the most famous chatbot in the world. The official Sora application should remain, but its presence on ChatGPT could increase the popularity of both.

OpenAI, however, has not publicly commented on the matter and there is still no release date.

The new version of the video AI was launched in September last year and due to the number of realistic videos, but has lost its initial enthusiasm in recent months, while rival models Veo 3.1 and Seedance 2.0 have gained notoriety.

Furthermore, the OpenAI assistant itself is going through a turbulent phase in the United States: the tool registered a wave of abandonment of service after confirming an agreement with the North American Department of Defense. Integrating this technology could be a way to retain users in the chatbot and recover the viral potential of the functionality.

What is Sora

Sora is an AI video generator developed by OpenAI. The second generation of the model was launched at the end of last year, accompanied by its own application.

Users can generate short videos with realistic elements and even use the facial appearance of real peopleas long as each profile has authorized this access. The tool quickly went viral, but was also linked to a wave of deepfakes and misuse of copyrighted materials.

OpenAI closed a deal, in December 2025, to include characters linked to the entertainment giant in Sora. It is important to highlight that the application has not yet been launched in Brazil.
