Chamber advances 8 projects of agricultural interest on the same day

Deputies approved two proposals and gave urgency to 6 other matters supported by the sector

The Chamber of Deputies approved this Tuesday (May 19, 2026) the advancement of a package of 8 projects of interest to agribusiness. In total, 2 projects and 6 urgent requests were approved, which allow proposals to be analyzed in plenary without going through committees.

O was articulated by the presidents of the FPA (Agribusiness Parliamentary Front), (Republicanos-PR) and the Chamber, (Republicans-PB). The list of projects voted on in the plenary was defined a few hours before the session, in a meeting at the FPA headquarters.

According to Lupion, the 8 projects were chosen from a set of more than 30 that benefited the segment. The Front managed to move forward with 3 priorities:

  • PL — allows temporary harvest workers to have a formal contract without losing social benefits. Go to sanction;
  • PLP — allows cooperatives to access resources from the FDNE (Northeast Development Fund), FDA (Amazon Development Fund) and FDCO (Central-West Development Fund);

Read the projects that had the urgency application approved:

  • PL – amends the Cultivar Protection Law to increase the term of the right to protect new seeds and technologies;
  • PL — creates the SNGRCR (National Rural Credit Risk Management System). Reorganizes the system of risk management criteria for rural credit;
  • PL — delegates to Mapa (Ministry of Agriculture) and MPA (Ministry of Fisheries) the task of evaluating any normative act that changes the regime for production, creation, cultivation, management, transport, processing or commercialization of species with commercial impact;
  • PL — amends the Income Tax legislation on the results of rural activity in relation to income from the rental of rural property;
  • PLP — makes adjustments to the list of inputs with tax incentives;
  • PL — creates the SNGRCR (National Rural Credit Risk Management System), which reorganizes the risk management criteria for rural credit;

Other agricultural victories in this Tuesday’s session:

  • PL 364 of 2019 – dropped one PT against PL which provides for the use and protection of native vegetation in Campos de Altitude associated with the Atlantic Forest biome.
