Billionaire Elon Musk, owner of Musk responded to a post by American journalist Glenn Greenwald on the social network about a possible arrest of the magistrate, stating that it would happen soon.
Greenwald shared on his profile news about Moraes’ connections with Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master, which is being investigated for financial fraud. Then, the journalist recalled a publication by Elon Musk, from August 2024, which showed a photo taken by artificial intelligence (AI) representing the minister in jail, with the caption: “One day, Alexandre, this photo of your prison will be real. Mark my words.”
Musk then responded to Greenwald’s post by saying: “Not yet, but (arrest) is on the way. Why pick a fight with me? What nonsense.”
The clash between Elon Musk and Alexandre de Moraes refers to the digital militias investigation at the STF, which investigates the activities of groups suspected of spreading false news on social networks.
The billionaire is one of the targets of the investigation launched in April 2024 by Moraes, on suspicion of “criminal instrumentalization” of X, in addition to suspicions of disobedience to court decisions, obstruction of justice in the context of a criminal organization and incitement to crime. This Tuesday, the 10th, Moraes closed the investigation against the businessman.
The news commented by Elon Musk this Thursday concerns the connection between the minister’s wife, lawyer Viviane Barci de Moraes, and Master. At the end of last year, the newspaper O Globo revealed that Viviane signed a R$129 million contract with a bank, which provided that the family office would work to defend the interests of the institution and Vorcaro at the Central Bank, the Federal Revenue Service and the National Congress.

Furthermore, according to Federal Police investigations, Daniel Vorcaro and Alexandre de Moraes spoke via WhatsApp on November 17, 2025, the date on which the first arrest warrant against the banker was served.
In a note, Viviane stated that the provision of services to the Master focused on the implementation of compliance mechanisms and the review of the institution’s code of ethics and conduct. In a position released by the STF, Moraes said that messages were not intended for the minister’s phone, but for other contacts that appear in Vorcaro’s diary.
