Carlos Alcaraz defeated Casper Ruud this Wednesday and qualified for the fifth consecutive time for the quarterfinals of the Indian Wells Masters 1000. The 22-year-old Spaniard offered a performance in the first set and found greater resistance in the second, although the Nordic ended up bowing: 6-1 and 7-6(2), after 1h 30m. In this way, the number one on the circuit has 15 successive wins this season and remains undefeated. With no time to regain strength, Alcaraz will take to the court this Thursday to face Cameron Norrie, whom he dominates 5-3 in the previous matches. The Briton, 30 years old and 29th in the world, beat Rinky Hijikata (6-4 and 6-2). Alcaraz won the Californian tournament in 2023 and 2024, while his next rival did so in 2021. It is the most important title of his career.
