Levi’s uses good humor to deal with 2026 World Cup “censorship”

A Levi’s decided to play with a FIFA rule for the 2026 World Cup that prevented the company from advertising the brand in the stadium that bears its name.

Levi’s Stadium, in San Francisco, in the United States, was the stage for the dispute between Qatar and Switzerland last Saturday (13). However, due to a requirement of the logos of the brand known for denim items were covered.

On Sunday (14), the company published a video on its social networks mocking the white cloth over the logo, indicating that the public would still know who owns the stadium.

This is a FIFA rule, in which all stadiums that have brands in their names need to hide their logos.

In the caption of the post, Levi’s joked: “We welcome the world to the beautiful stadium [censurado]!”.

For the World Cup, Levi’s Stadium is called “San Francisco Stadium”. The World Cup ends on July 19th.
