The senator (Podemos-MG) stated that the CPMI (Mixed Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) of the INSS has no “any official responsibility” about the data leaks of Daniel Vorcaro, founder of Banco Master. The statement was given on the night of this Wednesday (11th March) in a conversation with journalists after the congressman met with minister André Mendonça, rapporteur of the INSS and Banco Master fraud investigations at the STF (Supreme Federal Court).
“We put to the minister very clearly the issue about the leaks that the CPMI does not have any official responsibility because we do not have most of the documents that were leaked and, above all, we have the functional responsibility for guarding everything that has been given to us”, said next to the senator (União Brasil-AL).
Mendonça ordered, on March 6, the opening of an investigation to investigate the leak of information from Vorcaro’s cell phone.
In the decision, the minister stated that sharing the breach of confidentiality does not authorize the leaking of information by members of the CPI. “Quite the contrary, it entails, on the part of the authority that received the restricted access information, responsibility for maintaining secrecy. The magistrate responded to a request from Vorcaro’s defense, which the opening of a criminal investigation to determine “successive leaks of confidential informationThe lawyers declare that they did not even have access to the data collected through the breach of confidentiality on the businessman’s cell phones.
“Intimate, personal conversations that expose third parties not involved with the facts, in addition to supposed dialogues with authorities and even the STF minister, Alexandre de Moraes, perhaps edited and taken out of context, have been disclosed to the most diverse media outlets”, said the defense in a statement.
VORCARO’S CELL PHONE
The breach of the confidentiality of the telematic data of the founder of Banco Master, Daniel Vorcaro, identified that he maintained the as 3 ministers of the STF; relatives of ministers, such as lawyer Viviane de Moraes; 6 congressmen; in addition to 2 directors from the BC (Central Bank) – the authority that regulates and investigates the Master.
The messages, intercepted by the PF (Federal Police) and to which the Poder360 had access, they were on Vorcaro’s cell phone, seized by the corporation in Operation Compliance Zero.

MENDONÇA’S DECISION
On Wednesday morning (March 4), before the messages were released, PF agents began the 3rd phase of Operation Compliance Zero, which resulted in the return to pre-trial detention of and Fabiano Zettel. Two of the businessman’s employees were also arrested and were being investigated for monitoring and intimidating Vorcaro’s opponents.
The new phase was authorized by the rapporteur of the case at the STF, minister André Mendonça, who accepted the PF report to order the arrest of the 4 investigated. According to Mendonça’s order, the investigation into the case indicates that Vorcaro issued “direct orders” of acts of intimidation against people like “business competitors, former employees and journalists” that would harm the Master’s interests.
