The investigation indicates that Luís Pablo would have monitored the movements made by the minister and his family in Maranhão with a car provided by the Court of Justice
The minister Alexandre de Moraesof the Federal Supreme Court (STF), authorized the Federal Police (PF) to do operation against Maranhão blogger Luís Pablo, accused of persecuting Court minister Flávio Dino. The corporation complied with the determination on Tuesday (10) and seized computers and cell phones.
According to the investigation, Luís Pablo would have monitored the movements made by the official car used by Dino and his family in Maranhão to publish reports about alleged irregular use. The vehicle belongs to the Maranhão Court of Justice (TJMA) and was provided to the minister’s security team.
The request to open an investigation against Luís Pablo was requested by the PF itself. Subsequently, the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) expressed support for the investigation.
When the case reached the Supreme Court, was assigned to minister Cristiano Zaninbut the magistrate asked for redistribution. Moraes assumed the rapporteur of the process.
In a note, the blocker said he still awaits access to the process to understand the basis of the decision which supported the search. “Luís Pablo reaffirms his commitment to the responsible exercise of journalism, to the investigation of facts of public interest and to respecting the constitutional and conventional principles that guarantee freedom of the press and the right to information”, wrote the defense of the Maranhão native.
