Frankfurt – A two-day pilot strike began at AUA parent company Lufthansa on Thursday morning. Flight cancellations are to be expected, especially at the Munich and Frankfurt hubs. However, the company has assured that at least half of the planned flights will take place on both days of the strike. Even 60 percent of flights could start on long-haul routes. The background to the conflict is, among other things, the inconclusive collective bargaining at the regional subsidiary CityLine.
