The Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, said again this Friday, the 13th, that one of the things he would like to have left among the legacies of his administration was a long-term development project, thinking 4, 5 or 10 years ahead.
The minister, who will leave the Treasury next week, reiterated this complaint in an interview with the independent news portal Opera Mundi. According to Haddad, the project was actually carried out, but it did not go ahead because it became a portfolio project, in which a dispute ensued to see which ministry headed it.
“It would be a development project for the country, with a view to 4, 10 years ahead, but it became a dispute between ministries”, he said.
