Journalist Lêda Rivas died at the age of 80 after suffering a massive heart attack this Friday (13), no. The information was confirmed by family members.
The wake is scheduled for this Saturday (14), starting at 8 am, at the Parque das Flores Cemetery. The burial is scheduled to take place at 11am.
According to family members, Lêda received medical care two days earlier after feeling unwell. However, she fell ill again when she was at her niece, Dione Rivas’ house. The was called and confirmed that the cause of death was a massive heart attack.
Lêda Rivas had a distinguished career in Pernambuco journalism. For more than 20 years she worked at Diario de Pernambuco, where she was editor of the Viver section and also head of the newspaper’s Research Department.
