The level of the Acre River showed a significant increase in the last ten days in . Data released by the Municipal Civil Defense shows that the spring rose 3.20 meters between March 5th and 15th, which keeps authorities in a state of constant monitoring.
According to the bulletin released by the municipal coordinator of Civil Defense, lieutenant colonel Cláudio Falcão, in the early hours of March 5, at 5:23 am, the river measured 8.23 meters, with 1 millimeter of rain recorded in the previous 24 hours.
In the most recent bulletin, released this Sunday (15) at 5:17 am, the level reached 11.43 meters, indicating an increase of 3.20 meters over a period of ten days. In the last 24 hours, there was no record of rain in the capital of Acre.

Despite the rise, the river level still remains below the alert level, established at 13.50 meters, and also far from the overflow level, which is 14 meters.
Even so, Civil Defense continues to monitor the watershed’s behavior daily, as an increase in the level in a short period raises awareness about possible impacts if new volumes of rain occur in the coming days.
Monitoring includes analyzing weather conditions in the region and monitoring the river level at strategic points in the capital, with the aim of anticipating possible preventive measures if the level continues to rise.
