Czech actress Kristýna Leichtová (40) came out with the truth. After about three quarters of a year, she decided to break her silence and share the life situation she had been hiding. She changed her mind and wants to spread awareness through her story. The artist is a mother of two. They have daughters Dorotka (7) and Rozárka (5) with actor Vojtěch Štěpánek.
An older girl saved her life a few months ago. “You remember how I gave one post that I had undergone an acute operation, but I didn’t say which one. So now I’ll tell you what an acute operation it was, and I’ll keep it here as a milestone. It was an ectopic pregnancy,” she shocked with her honesty on Instagram.
In the video, which you can also watch at the beginning of the article, she described in detail how it all happened. “One day I took a pregnancy test and it came out positive. Three weeks later I started bleeding, I chalked it up to an incipient miscarriage, I let my body work the way it does. The bleeding stopped, everything was fine, but then the bleeding started a little bit like out of cycle, which was so weird, but I didn’t really know what it was,” she said.
Just as she was taking Dorotka home from school, her stomach started to hurt terribly. She wondered aloud that they would either go home and try to ice it because she thought the appendix was causing the problem, or stop by the hospital for a checkup. “Dorotka said: ‘We are going to the hospital.’ And she saved my life because we got there. And what happened was that the doctor revealed a ruptured fallopian tube,” the actress confided.
The fertilized egg did not settle in her uterus, but in her fallopian tube. However, it is not elastic, and when the egg began to grow, there was a serious consequence. “The fallopian tube ruptures and causes massive bleeding in the abdomen, which is life-threatening. And that’s exactly what happened to me – I had massive bleeding and had to undergo emergency surgery. Laparoscopically, during which the pregnancy, the egg and also the fallopian tube were removed. I’m without a fallopian tube, which I can live with perfectly well,” said Leichtová openly.
After the operation, she woke up in the ICU and lay still in the hospital for a while before being discharged home. It all went down extremely quickly, but the actress was in good hands. She publicly thanked the hospital and the doctors and paramedics who took care of her. She also wanted to share her story with her followers on Instagram to remind herself how lucky she is to be alive.
