On the eve of the Oscar ceremony, scheduled for this Sunday (15), the magazine Forbes released the ranking of the highest-paid actors in 2025. The survey shows that the 20 highest-paid names in Hollywood totaled US$590 million in the year, a value lower than that recorded in the previous ranking.
According to the publication, the total represents a 20% drop compared to 2024, when the main names in the industry had accumulated around US$730 million.
At the top of the list is Adam Sandler, with estimated earnings of US$48 million after agent and representative fees. The actor has a long-term agreement with Netflix and has participated in productions such as Happy Gilmore 2 e Jay Kelly.

Next come Tom Cruise, with US$46 million, and Mark Wahlberg, with US$44 million. Scarlett Johansson occupies fourth place with US$43 million, followed by Brad Pitt, with US$41 million.
The ranking also includes names like Denzel Washington, Jack Black, Jason Momoa, Daniel Craig and Millie Bobby Brown, who at 22 years old became the youngest member of the list.

Streaming gains weight in salaries
According to the Forbesone of the main changes observed in the ranking is the increase in the weight of streaming platforms in actors’ remuneration. Services such as Netflix, Apple and Amazon started to offer contracts with high values and guaranteed payments.
This model has attracted stars seeking revenue predictability, as contracts often include fixed fees rather than box office participation.
