Vienna – The artist So Young Park, born in South Korea in 1997, will receive the Birgit Jürgenssen Prize 2026, worth 5,000 euros. “She convinced the jury with the poetic approach of her performances: in the interaction with her delicate sculptures, she develops an artistic practice that consistently questions and re-explores the relationship between body and object,” it said on Monday. The award ceremony will take place on April 21st, 6 p.m., in the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
