One of the proposals is to facilitate the application of simplified lay-off with salary cuts in calamity situations.
Negotiations around the employment package, o , the draft law reforming labor legislation, will have some updates.
This Monday there will be a new meeting between the Ministry of Labor, UGT – General Union of Workers and the four business confederations.
The Government has a new document, according to . There are now more situations in which there are time exemption; with a requirement for a written agreement and a salary supplement – but without subsequent payment of overtime, in some cases almost without limit. It is a possibility that now covers “functions essential to the operation of the company”, in addition to those defined in collective bargaining.
The annual limit of additional hours will increase to 300 hours per year, instead of the current 200.
O “right to disconnect” does not yet reach consensus. The Government will be advocating that out-of-hours contact should be possible – if that contact does not require a response (and if this is adequately explained in the contact).
There should also be lay-off simplified – salary cuts just above the minimum wage – when a calamity situation is declared by the State.
On the other hand, the Executive yields to UGT on some points: increase in 3 extra days of vacation (attendance is a central factor), continuous working hours for parents with children up to 12 years old, increase in compensation for dismissal from 14 to 15 days per year worked.
Os algorithms used in recruitment and dismissals should be more transparent; more human intervention. And the unions will have greater intervention in the event of violation of collective agreement rules.
