New bone analyzes point to the largest Tyrannosaurus of its time


It is undoubtedly the most famous of all dinosaurs and an integral part of popular culture: Tyrannosaurus rex lived at the end of the Cretaceous period and lived up to its scientific name – ruler of the lizards. With a length of up to 13 meters, a waist height of four meters and a weight of up to nine tons, it was one of the largest land-living carnivores in the history of this planet.
