According to , a website specializing in economics and finance, in order to benefit from this scheme it is necessary to submit a project to create one’s own job to the Institute of Employment and Professional Training (IEFP). Only after the project has been approved is it possible to request a single payment of the subsidy, as long as all Social Security conditions are met.
Who can request the single payment
The project must create a full-time job for the beneficiary, whether as a self-employed person, sole trader or partner in an existing company. If the integration is in a company, it must guarantee full-time employment and demonstrate financial capacity.
Conditions and application
The request must be addressed to the director of the District Social Security Center in the area of residence and delivered to the corresponding employment center. Depending on the activity, additional documents may be requested, such as contracts, quotes or proforma invoices.
After delivery, the IEFP assesses the viability of the project and sends the opinion to Social Security, which decides on approval of payment. The entire process can take between 60 and 90 business days, counting from the complete delivery of the documentation.
Amount and method of payment
For self-employed workers, if the amount needed for the project is less than the total subsidy, only part will be paid immediately, with the remainder remaining in monthly installments. Employees lose the right to the difference.
