Installations associated with the offshore natural gas field of South Pars, in Iran, were attacked this Wednesday, 18th, state media reported, in the face of offensives in Asaluyeh, in the province of Bushehr, in the south of the Persian country. Additional details were not immediately provided.
Iran shares the offshore field in the Persian Gulf with Qatar, a country that has been the target of repeated attacks during the war, along with other Gulf Arab nations.
It was not clear whether Israel or the United States carried out the attack, although the US was mainly active in southern Iran. The US had previously attacked the island of Kharg in the Persian Gulf, where Iran’s main oil terminal is located. Source: Associated Press.
