Organized Crime CPI approves summons of Daniel Vorcaro’s ex-girlfriend

The Organized Crime CPI approved this Wednesday, 18th, the summons of Martha Graeff, ex-girlfriend of Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master. The CPI understands that Graeff is “a frequent interlocutor and recipient of reports made by Daniel Vorcaro throughout the relevant period of the investigations” of irregularities committed by the financial institution.

The rapporteur of the CPI for Organized Crime, Alessandro Vieira (MDB-SE), is one of the authors of the request. Vieira states that Graeff was informed in real time of Vorcaro’s meeting with authorities from the Three Powers.

“In this context, Martha Graeff emerges as a witness of singular and irreplaceable importance, not because she appears as being investigated – and this point deserves to be clearly highlighted –, but precisely because she is identified, according to the information collected within the scope of the investigation, as a frequent interlocutor and recipient of reports made by Daniel Vorcaro throughout the relevant period of the investigations”, stated the rapporteur.

Witnesses called by the CPI are required to appear before the commission to give testimony and are committed to telling the truth, under penalty of the crime of false testimony.

The Organized Crime CPI filed an application against opposition politicians, amid protests from supporters of former President of the Republic Jair Bolsonaro.

The group’s articulation blocked the voting of the former PL president, Valdemar Costa Neto, the former mayor of Salvador ACM Neto and Giselle dos Santos Carneiro da Silva, former advisor to the former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro.
