Thalia is not only an Austrian bookstore chain, but also the name of one of the nine muses of Greek mythology. Thalia is the muse of comic poetry and entertainment and as such the patron saint of the theater. So when the Schauspielhaus Graz announces its Festival Digithalia, there are these two references: to digitality and to theater. And that’s exactly what it’s all about from March 25th. To kick things off, games expert and author Johanna Pirker will give a lecture to raise the central questions that concern the Internet and its reception: Who tells the story in digital spaces? Which bodies, voices and perspectives become visible – and which remain invisible?
